Oxygen Cleaning
Cleaning for Oxygen Service is best defined as the removal of combustible contaminants from the surface any equipment or system in oxygen service, including all parts and components. These contaminants include organic and inorganic substances such as hydrocarbon materials like oils, greases, dirt, dust, solvents and rust. If these contaminates are not removed properly prior to operation, a combustion reaction in an oxygen atmosphere or unacceptable product purity are the result. Therefore, it is critical to not only remove any organic or inorganic contamination but also to provide an optimal passive layer, which will provide corrosion resistance.
